The experience in the valley and river is great. We wished to take a boat ride. But the firm running it was not accepting card payments. They were only accepting cash, but nearby cash machine was out of money. I kindly request them to accept card payments too. It’s a perfect evening picnic spot for the family. Go with swim suits.

Very interesting place to visit, especially if you like Welsh slate. There's a fair bit to see while you're waiting for a steam train. And it's free!

The circular walks weren't well signposted. There was a map on a hut near car park entrance, and most of the walks start from the incline near the train station. With your back to the ticket office, the incline is facing you - see photos. There is also a full circular walk around the lake.

Used to love this place. To many people now leave rubbish everywhere and even leave human waste. It's now dirty and smelly, spoiling a truly beautiful part of the North Wales

What a wonderful museum. The staff could not have been more lovely. The place was really covid safe and had fantastic virtual tour sections and story boards. The blacksmith was also an added bonus. The shop was stocked with well priced often unique items. We will be back!
